The trail follows the Judesbach, the Irsen and the Wurmichtbach. One section across a ridge offers panoramic views over the Islek. Culture

The Catholic filial church of St. Valentine in Jucken is a Baroque Revival hall church built in 1930/31, with stained-glass windows by H. Maier. The protected residential section of a Quereinhaus at Hauptstraße 17 dates from 1789 and is described as characteristic of the local townscape. The property at Kapellenstraße 16 includes a single-storey bakery with a smithy dating from 1875.

The local May festival includes felling, decorating and erecting a maypole, followed by singing beneath it. As part of the Star Singers tradition, children go from house to house on Epiphany and mark the doors with C+M+B. A listed residential building at Kapellenstraße 16 dates from the first half to the middle of the 18th century and was extended in the 19th century.

History

In 1640, Jucken was recorded as a village near Olmscheid. For generations, Jucken has maintained a tradition in which children and parents gather after Carnival to symbolically burn the winter.
