St. Magnus: different building periods in one place

St. Magnus Parish Church is in the district of Unterrammingen. The hall church, articulated by pilasters, has a recessed choir. The tower dates from the second half of the 15th century; the church building was rebuilt in 1767/68 under parish priest Joseph Anton Germiller. It replaced an earlier Gothic church from the 13th century. The tower and the new building thus represent different building phases. A recessed choir is set back from the main space, while pilasters articulate the wall surfaces.

You can reach Rammingen by car via the A 96 motorway; the appropriate exit is Bad Wörishofen. A Deutsche Bahn station with connections to other regions is located south of the town. VVM buses serve stops in Oberrammingen and Unterrammingen: line 831 connects Thannhausen and Mindelheim, line 910 Mindelheim and Buchloe, and line 940 Bad Wörishofen and Markt Wald. Allgäu Skyline Park is located at Skyline-Park-Straße 1, 86871 Rammingen. The outdoor swimming pool on Mindelheimer Straße is a separate facility with a clear access restriction: it is run by Schwimmverein Rammingen e. V. for more than 800 club members; use is reserved exclusively for members.
