At the Upper Swabian Kürnbach Open-Air Museum, more than 30 historic buildings offer insights into everyday life in times gone by. Together, the museum presents six centuries of history. The Federsee near Bad Buchau is considered the moorland area richest in archaeological finds in Europe. Bad Buchau is also home to the Wackelwald, at the edge of town and close to the spa gardens; it is open to the public.
