In Thizy-les-Bourgs, La Manufacture du Haut-Beaujolais welcomes visitors to the former factory for blankets and moltons.
The origins of the organ at Notre-Dame de Thizy date back to the first half of the 18th century. Karl Joseph Riepp built it in 1745 for the Bernardine convent in Dôle. The organ is classified as a historic monument.
The Saint-Jean priory in Bourg-de-Thizy is said to have been founded in 887 by Ingelaire, the third abbot of Charlieu. Raymond Oursel considered the priory’s capitals to be authentic examples of early Romanesque art.
The Chapelle Saint-Georges (ancienne église) is also one of the historic landmarks: it was listed as a historic monument by a decree dated 4 March 1977 and features wall paintings from the late 15th or early 16th century.
