The Circuit VTT 191 – Tour de Saint-André-la-Côte is a signposted 35 km circular route with 1,200 m of positive elevation gain. A stage of the Grande Traversée du Rhône VTT runs from Saint-André-la-Côte to Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire. For 9 km, the Grande Traversée du Rhône VTT shares its route with the Grand Tour des Monts du Lyonnais from Saint-André-la-Côte to Sainte-Catherine. The stage runs from the heights of Saint-André-la-Côte along paths through deciduous forests, small roads and well-surfaced tracks in a rural setting with hamlets centered around farms.
History
In the mid-18th century, César-François de Cassini de Thury established a surveying reference point at Le Signal to map the region.
Activities
“The Gnolus – The Cassini Code” is a free geocaching experience in Saint-André-la-Côte. The puzzles are accessible to everyone; accompanied by adults, even the youngest children aged 3 to 5 can take part.
