Events and Wine
Les Charrois Gourmands takes place every year on the second weekend in June. Each year, the culinary walk explores Lantignié along a different route and includes tastings of local winemakers’ products as part of a communal meal.
On the last weekend of September, Les Vieilles Mécaniques Beaujolaises is another annual event on the calendar. Historic and unusual vehicles are displayed, and there is also a market for mechanical spare parts.
Domaine de Thulon presents Beaujolais-Villages wines, Viognier, and the crus Régnié, Chiroubles, and Morgon.
Culture and History
Château de Thulon is not normally open to the public. It is a medieval fief that was remodelled during the Renaissance and became one of the rare marquisates in Beaujolais.
The stone washhouse Lavoir des Chappes is located in La Planchette, between the hamlets of Chappes and Bidons. It was built for the residents of the upper part of the municipality of Lantignié.
On 16 December 1903, the washerwomen took possession of Lavoir des Chappes. After a storm tore off the roof in the 1980s, the municipal administration at the time sought to have it restored; following a deliberation by the municipal council, the project was approved.
