Légny is situated on a hill in the Azergues Valley. The surrounding landscape features marked trails, a former railway line and a route through vineyards and forests.

Nature

The Forêt de la Flachère was designed as a publicly accessible place for recreation and experiencing nature. It has 3 km of prepared and marked walking paths, as well as a 2 km botanical and forestry educational trail.

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Légny can take this accommodation preference into account when planning their trip.

Cycling

The Circuit VTT Légny No. 9 mountain bike loop runs through the south-western part of the municipality, mainly through vineyards and forests. It follows the Voie du Tacot, which runs along the Soanan, and crosses a viaduct made of golden-coloured stone.

The Voie du Tacot is an approximately twenty-kilometre-long section of a former railway line that has been converted into a route. It can be travelled or walked on foot or by bicycle.

At Ponts Tarrets, near the hall, there is a tourist and sanitary facility for cyclists as part of the “Plan Vélo”. A cycle path runs along the D 385, the Route de la Vallée.

Wine and culture

By prior arrangement, the Domaine de la Mantellière offers guided tours of the vineyards. Its offerings also include walks through the vineyards and wine tastings.

The cross depicts Christ on one side and the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus on the other.
