The Château de Montmelas has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 29 June 2000. From the Château de Montmelas, there is a view across the entire Rhône Valley as far as Mont Blanc.
Culture
A Chappe telegraph was installed on the square bell tower of the Chapelle Saint-Bonnet at the end of the 18th century as a relay between Quincié and Theizé. Anyone considering Montmelas-Saint-Sorlin as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

The Sentier nature faune sauvage et insectes in Montmelas-Saint-Sorlin is 1.9 km long and designated as a 45-minute walk. The trail provides access to an ornithological observation tower where birds can be observed.
