Saint-Sorlin: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Église de St-Sorlin is dedicated to Saint Saturnin, the bishop of Toulouse and a 3rd-century martyr. Its oldest part is the pointed-arch choir, dating from the 16th century. The first church in Saint-Sorlin dedicated to Saint Saturnin already existed before the 10th century.

Culture and History

The Sanctuaire Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes was built in the 1950s by residents of Saint-Sorlin and Abbé Vautrin. The sanctuary includes a garden dedicated to Saint Bernadette, a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes, a chapel and an esplanade.

Landscape and Trails

The Sanctuaire Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes offers views of the Alps and the Pilat. The site is open year-round and free to access; there is also a picnic area and parking nearby.

The Circuit de Chavagneux passes through the Bois de Malval and offers panoramic views over the Pays Mornantais and the Monts du Lyonnais. The circular route is signposted with PDIPR markers consisting of wooden posts and yellow direction signs.

Village Life

The Fête d’été is one of the events held in the village of Saint-Sorlin. The Fête de l'été à Saint-Sorlin was announced as an annual summer festival for Saturday, July 5, 2025. Grilled pork and refreshments were offered at this event.
