Set in a wooded landscape, Avenas Aventure combines treetop courses with paintball. The panoramic treetop courses are available at various difficulty levels for children aged 3 and over, teenagers, and adults.
Outdoor paintball takes place on a wooded 6,500 m² site; various scenarios, complete equipment, and a safety briefing are provided.
Trails
The Boucle d'Avenas is a shaded circular trail through varied landscapes, including those around the Croix de Rochefort.
The Avenas loop of the Chemin de Deux-Grosnes is marked in blue. The Parcours de Trail d'Avenas – Boucle du Village is identified by the silver Station-de-Trail sign numbered 23 and a red marking.
From the terrace of the Fût d'Avenas, the trail route offers panoramic views of the Alps and the Beaujolais vineyards. The trail route also includes a shorter 21 km loop starting from the village of Avenas.
Culture and History
In the village of Avenas, visitors can explore an interpretive arboretum providing information about tree species and the legends of Avenas.
Notre-Dame de l'Assomption is a 12th-century Romanesque church of the Cluniac type. The church has a carved white altar, unique in France, made from four blocks of white veined limestone.
The altar depicts Christ in Majesty, seated among his twelve Apostles.
