Ternand: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

From May to September, the Maison des Expositions presents exhibitions of painting, sculpture, photography and handicrafts; the works change every two weeks. The ruins of the Abbaye Saint-Martin de Savigny, a historic site, are located in the area around Ternand. The wider surrounding region is also home to the closed Artothèque du Centre d'Arts Plastiques de Villefranche-sur-Saône museum. The Couvent Sainte-Marie de La Tourette is located there as well.

By appointment, Les Amis du Vieux Ternand offer guided tours of the village, which is entirely designed for pedestrian traffic, for groups of six to 30 people. According to the description, paintings from the 12th century depicting Jesus and the twelve apostles were discovered in the crypt in 2024; according to the description, ten figures are intact and remarkably well preserved.

The mountains Crêt de Munet, Fourches Voirines, La Liouffe and Crêt des Humberts are located in the area around Ternand. From the upper part of the village of Ternand, there is a panoramic view of the Beaujolais Mountains and the Azergues Valley.
