The landscapes of the municipality of Puihardy belong entirely to the Bocages deux-sévriens landscape unit. The municipality has around 1.8 km of waterways, and the catchment area of the Autize and its tributaries covers 97.1% of the municipal area.

The natural area includes the type 2 ZNIEFF site Vallée de l'Autize, which covers less than 1% of Puihardy's municipal area. A 1.71 km section of the Affluent du Saumort is classified under List 1 pursuant to Article L214-17 of the French Environmental Code. The construction of new facilities that obstruct ecological continuity is prohibited there.
The area managed by the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels Nouvelle-Aquitaine covers around 1.12% of Puihardy's municipal area. It includes the Bocage du Saumort et affluents_MC and Carrières des Landes areas.
Culture
