The Église Saint-Martin preserves the nave and bell tower dating from the 12th century. The side wall of the nave opens onto a sculpted doorway with capitals and corbels. The renovation of the choir in the 15th century remained unfinished; the vaults were never completed.

The annual Foire de Mai in Périgné is organised by Foyer Rural Périgné. The traditions surrounding Périgné’s washhouses include the fées lavandières, fairies who, according to the story, bathe in the washhouse.

Trails and Landscapes

Along Le chemin des lavoirs, washhouses, former mills and small châteaux line the route between the meanders of the Belle and the Béronne. The route is 13.5 km long, or alternatively 11 km, and takes 3.5 hours.

Le sentier de la Belle runs through the Belle valley between dry-stone walls and washhouses with clear water, and passes mostly through a landscape characterised by plains and rows of poplars. The trail is an easy, 6.2 km circular walk lasting around two hours and combines heritage discovery with experiences in nature. Le sentier de la Belle begins in front of Périgné church, where parking is available.

Fishing is possible at Étang de Prérault. Picnic tables and play equipment for children are available at Étang de Prérault.

Périgné is located on the Route du Chabichou, where visitors can discover farms and local cheese producers.
