Culture

The Chapelle Saint Nicolas de La Poraire is listed as a historic monument and is a preserved example of a former Fontevrist priory. Its murals date from the late 12th to the early 13th century. One mural depicts a rare scene of the damnation of Herod. The chapel can be visited free of charge independently or with a guide; outside the summer opening hours, visits are possible by appointment.

Chiché is also home to the former Gothic chapel of Notre Dame de la Recouvrance, which dates from the 14th or 15th century. The Château de Bressuire, a castle, is located in the surroundings of Chiché. The wider regional area also contains the Château d'Oiron, a château, the Abbaye Saint Jouin De Marnes, a historic site, and the Église Notre-Dame-de-Bouin, a church.

Countryside

The circular route Les bois de Chausserais connects bocage landscapes, the Thouaret Valley and historic remains. It begins at the Place de l'église in Chiché, by the bus stop. Les Randonnées Chichéennes organises hikes in and outside the municipality, as well as events related to the environment and cultural heritage.
