History and Culture
The Church of Saint-Junien is a small 12th-century building that was rebuilt in the 19th century. It was formerly under the authority of the Abbey of Nouaille. Next to the church are a spring and a motte castrale. Villeblanche, also known as Chastinlieu, in La Chapelle-Pouilloux is described as the place where Saint-Junien lived as a hermit. The stained-glass windows of the Church of Saint-Junien commemorate the life of Saint-Junien.
