Roussay: Holiday apartments and houses

Culture

In July 1714, Father Louis Grignon de Montfort held a mission in Roussay. A small chapel on Rue de Montfort is dedicated to Father Louis Grignon de Montfort.

A tour of Roussay reveals several 16th-century manor houses. Roussay’s historic sights include the market halls. Traces of weavers’ houses have also been preserved in Roussay. Roussay’s architectural heritage includes a 12th-century chapel.

A market is held every Friday morning on Place du Souvenir in Roussay. At the Marché aux cucurbitacées, tastings based on squash and other cucurbits were offered, including soups prepared on site. The Marché aux cucurbitacées took place every year on the third weekend of October.
