The circular hiking trail “Circuit de randonnée: Parnay, entre Loire et coteaux” is marked in yellow, is 11.6 km long, starts and ends in Parnay, takes three hours, and is considered moderately difficult. Culture and history
The Église Saint-Pierre stands alone on the ridge and at the edge of the slope of Parnay above the Loire. Its bell tower dates from the early 12th century; the stone, hexagonal spire dates from the 16th century. The church of Parnay was classified as a historical monument on 19 September 1950.
In the immediate vicinity of Parnay are the Château de Parnay, a château; the Chateau de Montsoreau-Museum of Contemporary Art, a museum; and the Château de Saumur, a château. The Chateau de Brézé, a château, is located in the vicinity of Parnay.
The Château de Marconnay has a remarkable troglodytic heritage and, despite alterations in the 19th century, preserves notable architectural elements from the 16th and 17th centuries.
