Culture and History
The Église Saint-Pierre is protected as a historic monument; this protection was granted by decree of 16 November 1984. Its main construction phases date from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries and the 18th century. The church has a belfry considered unusual in Anjou, with two arched openings and a bell.
The town is also home to two notable megalithic bridges. The first, at the foot of the village, consists of two large slabs of hard stone measuring 6 and 4 metres in length and 1 metre in width. The slabs rest on a central pier and two riverbank piers. The second megalithic bridge is located slightly downstream from the La Motte mill and consists of a single stone slab, abutments and a central pier.
