Sautron: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Circuit 1 “Coeur de Bourg” is a 1.7 km circular walk exploring the heritage and history of Sautron’s town centre. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility as well as blind and visually impaired visitors.

Nature

The approximately 9 km C2 circular trail “Découverte La Nature à Sautron” runs through the Cens and Chézine valleys around the town centre. Along the way, it showcases their distinctive natural flora and fauna as well as the two rivers.

The Rando’clim trail in Sautron is a 1 km route through the Cens Valley along the Sentier de la Cascade. Twelve signposted trees representing six different species are recorded along the Rando’clim route.

Sautron has walking paths along the Cens, which form part of its green heritage. An 8 km bucolic promenade extends to Sautron; observatories and areas provide opportunities to discover the ecological and historical features of the Cens Valley, including remarkable plants, birds, fish and wetlands.

Culture

The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Bongarant is a 15th-century building and is open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Its vault is shaped like an upturned boat hull and is entirely decorated with plant motifs.

The Circuit des Moulins L’Evêque is one of the themes of local exhibitions on Sautron’s heritage and history. Berligou, the wine of the Dukes of Brittany, was formerly produced in Sautron.

Sautron is served daily by Naolib line 69 (formerly TAN) on the “Orvault – Morlière – Sautron” route.
