The Écomusée de la Vallée is located in the delegated municipality of Anetz and introduces visitors to the history, landscapes and cultural heritage of the Boire Torse. Exhibits include old objects, archives, models, a relief map of the Loire and an aerial video of the river. A free visit is possible on the first and third Sunday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Willow Conservatory in Anetz was established in 2006 by Anetz-Environnement to preserve the traditional willow varieties of the Loire Valley region. It can be visited independently without an appointment; information boards and signs explain the characteristics of the individual varieties. The collection includes more than twenty traditional “Ligérien” willow varieties as well as around twenty other varieties from different origins, for observation and comparison with the “Ligérien” willows.
History
In the 12th century, the Château de Vair was a powerful fortress surrounded by water-filled moats. In 1518, Francis I stayed there together with Queen Claude of France; the queen remained for two months. It is open for visits from April to November on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Église Saint-Clément d’Anetz was built between 1897 and 1913. It combines Romanesque and Neo-Byzantine architectural influences; the Neo-Byzantine influence is particularly evident in the bell tower.
Nature
The Boire Torse valley has remarkable biodiversity and is part of the Natura 2000 network. Along the Boire Torse hiking trails, signs provide information about the natural and cultural heritage of the route.
Five hiking trails lead from Le Fresne-sur-Loire through Montrelais and Varades to Anetz via the Boire Torse valley. The Boire Torse runs for approximately 17 km.
