Culture and history

Le Jardin Étoilé is a contemporary work of art by Kinya Maruyama, integrated into the ESTUAIRE 2007-2009-2012 programme and Le Voyage à Nantes. Nature

The Parcours nature runs along the banks of the Loire from the edge of the pine grove to the lighthouse and offers educational stations about the Loire estuary, its fauna and flora, as well as the environment and ecosystem. It explains the importance of the reed beds on the north bank for environmental protection and bird migration, and presents the estuarine mudflats and silt flats as essential natural reserves for birds, shellfish and marine insects.

Water

The guided “Croisière sur la Loire” is a 1-hour-and-15-minute trip on a flat-bottomed boat through the Loire estuary, departing from Paimbœuf. Reservations for the “Croisière sur la Loire” can be made at the tourist office or online.
