Derval is home to the Tour Saint-Clair, the only surviving remnant of a 13th-century castle. At the Tour Saint-Clair, visitors can follow a tour and learn about the history of the place as well as the history of the Marches de Bretagne, which Derval once belonged to as a fortified site.

Culture
The Maison de Bellevue was converted into a charitable institution, a hospice and a school for girls in 1774. François Jousselin, an intendant of the Prince of Condé, is considered the presumed founder of the Maison de Bellevue. A collection of faience can be discovered at the Maison de Bellevue as part of guided tours.
The Église Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul was built from 1846 onwards on the site of a Romanesque church dating from the 14th century. Four stained-glass windows in the Église Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul were made by the stained-glass artist Albert Gsell.

The Sentier Le Bocage Dervalais begins opposite Derval Town Hall and can be used on foot and by mountain bike.
Landscape
The Moulin du Thu is protected in its entirety by being listed as a Monument historique; the listing was made by decree dated 22 May 2025. After the Moulin du Thu ceased operating in 1964, it became a landscape feature on the road between Nantes and Rennes.
