The Circuit des Chênes is a 7.8 km circular cycling route with 28 m of positive elevation gain and the loop trail type (PR and GRP).
The Circuit les Chênes follows scenic paths lined with oak, ash, cherry, pear and willow trees. The Circuit des Chênes is suitable for families and all types of visitors; it can be travelled or walked on foot, by city bike or by hybrid bike.
A 1.2 km circular trail, considered accessible to everyone, runs around the Plan d’eau de la Blanche. The Circuit des Chênes passes through Le Breuil, described as one of the few villages in Chéméré. The restored Moulin de la rue de Pornic, which has lost its sails, is located on the same circular route and is a landmark on the Circuit des Chênes.
Culture and history
The Château du Bois-Rouaud was rebuilt in 1905 by the architect A. Coulomb. It has been partially listed as a historic monument since 27 November 2001.

The menhir La Pierre Levée is a stone erected during the Neolithic period in the Forêt de Princé near Chéméré, in the municipality of Chaumes-en-Retz. Its age is estimated at 4,500 years. La Pierre Levée is located near a road that runs through the privately owned Forêt de Princé.
In Chéméré, the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste dates from 1879.
Nature
The Forêt de Princé covers 585 hectares and consists of both deciduous and coniferous trees. Near Chéméré, it is recognised as a protected area and as a ZNIEFF, that is, a natural area of ecological, faunal and floristic interest.
The Forêt de Princé is entirely privately owned; access permits are issued only upon approval and reservation and in limited numbers.
