Culture and History

The Church of Saint-Blaise in Lavergne has been listed as a historic monument since 9 June 1925. Its bell gable dates from the 12th century and is considered one of the oldest in Quercy.

The access route to Moulin Bas crosses an old stone bridge whose two arches span the Alzou. Numerous mills were built along the Alzou in Lavergne.

The round dovecote of Pouchou is documented in Lavergne’s land register from 1666. Its architectural style is described as very rare in the region.

The square dovecote of Mirabel overlooks the Alzou valley. Its construction is attributed to the 18th century; it was restored in the 1970s.

Lavergne is surrounded by hilly countryside with bocage landscapes and meadows used as pastureland. Lavergne has footpaths that can be used for hiking.
