Lhospitalet: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Construction and safety work was carried out on the section of the GR65, or Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela, in Lhospitalet. As part of this work, a footpath was created in Lhospitalet.

Culture

In Granéjouls, the Church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité was classified as a historic monument on 23 February 1912. Its oldest parts, the nave and the crossing, probably date from the third quarter of the 13th century. At the same time, the church is an example of 13th- and 14th-century Gothic architecture in Quercy.

Before the French Revolution, the parish of Granéjouls was a daughter parish of the parish of Lhospitalet. The parish church of Granéjouls preserves a Romanesque portal whose archivolt is decorated with billet moulding. The oldest parts of the parish church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité, including the portal and apse, may date from the late 12th century or the first half of the 13th century.

The “Mosaïque – 6” mosaic is not on permanent display.

Paths and Circular Walks

The Circuit de Dame Hélène tells the story of the founding of a hospital and an oratory for pilgrims and poor travellers. The circular route is 10.3 kilometres long, starts in Lhospitalet and is suitable for mountain bikes.

The circular walk for discovering the rural heritage is an approximately 5-kilometre hike on foot starting at Lhospitalet town hall. It leads to a cazelle and a natural feature.

Lhospitalet is one of the municipalities in the Lot département covered by the “serres et pelouses du Quercy Blanc” document d’objectifs.
