Culture and History
The église paroissiale de la Nativité de la Vierge was built shortly after the foundation of the bastide, probably in the first half of the 14th century. It was rebuilt in the mid-15th century when it was elevated to the status of a collegiate church; its monumental bell-tower porch also dates from this period. In the mid-16th century, the church was fortified. This resulted in a covered walkway above the vaults of the nave and loopholes.
With the exception of the sacristy, the église paroissiale de la Nativité de la Vierge has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 23 September 1926. Next to the cemetery stands the neo-Gothic Chapelle des Douleurs, which was completed in 1874.
