Onet-Le-Château: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The two former north chapels of Saint-Martin de Limouze preserve architectural ornamentation and sculptural furnishings dating from the late 15th or early 16th century.

Culture

The main construction phase of the parish church of Saint-Martin de Limouze took place in the 15th century. The Château d’Onet bears witness to a coherent building programme in the first quarter of the 16th century; the chapter is considered the probable patron.

Onet-le-Château’s cultural events programme also includes events at the Théâtre Municipal La Baleine.

From September to June, the Galerie Les Capucines displays paintings, sculptures, photographs and other forms of visual art. Admission is free during the MJC’s usual opening hours.

Activities

There is a digital orienteering course in Parc de Vabre. Parc de loisirs de Vabre offers children outdoor games among centuries-old trees; visitors can also discover the municipal arboretum there.

Piscine Paul Géraldini has a 25-metre swimming pool with a water depth of 0.8 to 1.8 metres. The Onet-le-Château area has almost 70 km of walking trails.

Rand'Oc Aventure offers guided hikes in summer and winter. The programme includes guided night hikes, Aligot hikes and snowshoe tours on the Aubrac plateau.

The VTT-Circuit 18 Les Planètes follows a gently hilly, easily navigable and shaded section of the Les Planètes walking trail.

Sport and local activities

The Comité Aveyronnais de Bowling et sport de Quilles enables people to take part in bowling, Quilles au maillet and Quilles de huit. It also organises introductory sessions and demonstrations of these sports, including for young people and people with disabilities.

Regional produce

The Halles de l’Aveyron in Onet-le-Château offer products from the Aveyron terroir supplied by local producers.
