Nature
Pont-De-Salars showcases its landscape particularly clearly at Lac de Pont-de-Salars and in the deeply cut, wooded valleys, including the Gorge du Viaur. Lac de Pont-de-Salars is a reservoir on the Plateau du Lévézou and is fed by the Viaur.
Water
At the l’Anse du Lac water sports centre, canoes and kayaks are rented out on Lac de Pont-de-Salars. The lake’s calm waters are also home to 24 inflatable modules belonging to the Aqua Park.
Plage des Rousselleries is a free family beach on Lac de Pont-de-Salars. From 1 July to 31 August, the beach is supervised from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 18:00. Fishing is possible year-round at Lac de Pont-de-Salars; the water body is classified as a category 2 fishing area.
There are boat-launch ramps for Lac de Pont-de-Salars at Pont de Salars and Montredon.

Culture
The Notre-Dame de Salars Chapel is located about 500 m from Pont-de-Salars, on a hill overlooking the village centre. In 1078, it was given to Sainte-Foy de Conques.
The Église du Poujol has preserved its original Latin-cross floor plan. Outside, it has a 16th-century comb bell tower. The Pont de Saint Georges de Camboulas bridge is listed as a historic monument.
Active pursuits
For the Alaret Méjanès Mérican hike, there is a car park at Place de la Rivière on the lower edge of Pont-de-Salars, near the road bridge over the Viaur. The hike is an easy 11-km circular route: it initially follows the area above Lac de Pont-de-Salars and then continues along the lake.
The Circuit des Lacs du Lévézou is a moderately difficult 67-km cycling loop starting from Pont-de-Salars.
