At Lac de Pareloup lie the Plages des Vernhes, beaches awarded the Pavillon Bleu eco-label. The two neighbouring Plages des Vernhes are connected by a footpath accessible to people with reduced mobility. Pedal boats, stand-up paddleboards, canoes and boats can be hired at the beaches.

Culture and History
The Notre Dame des Lacs statue, also known as the “Vierge des Lacs”, was erected in 1956 by J. P. Duroux to protect the newly created lakes. Notre Dame des Lacs also offers panoramic views.
The Commanderie des Canabières of the Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem is considered the oldest Hospitaller foundation in Rouergue. It can only be viewed from the outside.

The “Vierge des Lacs” hike offers a viewpoint over Lac de Pareloup. Fishing is possible on Lac de Pareloup all year round in a water body classified as second-category fishing waters.
The excursions operated by Pareloup Pilot take visitors to Île aux Serpents and Île aux Oiseaux. From Les Vernhes, Pareloup Pilot also offers motorboat excursions on Lac de Pareloup.

CYVP hires out water sports equipment ranging from paddleboards to catamarans. CYVP’s sailing school and water sports centre offers introductory trips on the lake.
CYVP offers sailing courses consisting of 1 to 5 sessions of 2 hours each, in Optimist dinghies, on windsurf boards, in dinghies or on catamarans; the Optimist courses are suitable for children aged 7 and over.
