History

In 1173, Bishop Hugues handed the Church of Saint Julien over to the community of Agen. The present church building was remodelled in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Halfway up the rock face, visitors can see the statue of Sainte Germaine de Pibrac and a fountain. The tower of the Abbaye still stands in the centre of Agen-d'Aveyron today. In Agen-d'Aveyron, visitors can discover the Chapel of Saint Lazare; it is a former leper colony.
