Lorp-Sentaraille is one of the municipalities in the Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées ariégeoises. The municipality is also part of the ZNIEFF type 2 “Massif de l'Arbas”, a 27,000-hectare area of hills and mountains in the foothills of the central Pyrenees; 60% of its area is forested.

Culture and History
The war memorial on the church square in the Lorp district of Lorp-Sentaraille is dedicated to those who died in the wars of 1914–1918 and 1939–1945.
The Musée Aristide Bergès is housed in a former paper factory and presents the individual stages of paper production. The Musée Aristide Bergès site is listed as a historic monument and bears the “Maisons des Illustres” label. The Musée Aristide Bergès is less than a ten-minute walk from the LORP-SENTARAILLE – Église bus stop; the stop is served by the Toulouse–Boussens–Saint-Girons routes.
The church in Sentaraille, dedicated to Saint Michael, contains a painted wooden figure of Christ from the 15th century and a 17th-century painting depicting Saint Mary Magdalene and Christ on the cross. The Saint-Lizier church in the Lorp district of Lorp-Sentaraille contains a commemorative plaque for Joseph and Louis Bergès, which was probably erected in the early 1920s, and a Joan of Arc statue signed by André Besqueut, which was probably acquired after 1912. Routes
The Voie Verte passes through Lorp-Sentaraille. It runs near the Château de Bagen, which is visible at the end of a linden-lined avenue, and passes the former Papeterie Bergès, which has been converted into a museum. The 12 km-long Voie Verte from Prat-Bonrepaux to Saint-Lizier is connected with Lorp-Sentaraille.
