At the Nécropole de Tabariane in Teilhet, 166 graves were uncovered during archaeological work. The finds date the settlement from the beginning of the 6th century to the end of the following century and classify it as belonging to the Merovingian culture. Visitor information panels explain the very early human settlement of the site. The newly landscaped Nécropole de Tabariane is open to the public.

Culture

The façade of the Église de Teilhet dates from the 14th century. The portal depicts a mounted horseman in chain mail carrying a shield decorated with a cross. The interior of the Église de Teilhet is not accessible to visitors.

The Château de Roques was built at the end of the 19th century. It is privately owned and closed to the public. The Château de Roques overlooks the Hers Valley and offers a wide panorama.

Hiking

La boucle de Tabariane is a 2.6 km circular route and a signposted hiking trail. It starts at the Place de l'église in Teilhet. A trail marker connects the Nécropole de Tabariane with the GR 78.
