Culture

The village is home to three devotional wells that continue to receive religious veneration: Saint Pierre et Saint Paul, Le Font du Caillou and Le Font Couvé. The devotional wells have been restored and reopened to the public.

The Château de Brie was built in 1484, is listed as a historic monument and is fully furnished. Another place with cultural significance is Âne et Carotte, where visitors are welcomed for cultural events and farm stays are offered.

The wider region around Champagnac-la-Rivière is home to several historical and cultural sites: the historic site of Abbaye de Boeuil, the historic site of Abbaye de la Peyrouse, the FRAC-Artothèque Nouvelle-Aquitaine museum and the historic site of Oradour-sur-Glane.

Paths

The Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire runs between Châlus and Oradour-sur-Vayres. The non-motorised route is 13 kilometres long and suitable for roller skaters, people with reduced mobility, hikers and cyclists. It passes through Champagnac-la-Rivière and can be used by walkers, cyclists and roller skaters.

The Sentier Les Ecureuils runs along the Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire between Châlus and Oradour-sur-Vayres.
