Culture and History

Bujaleuf Church dates back to the 13th century. It has a flat-ended chancel and a single-nave layout inspired by the buildings of the Templars in the Marche region. Bujaleuf’s distinctive architectural heritage includes the Parcours Art de la Pierre. The Les Varaches municipal forest also features a nighttime geocaching trail by Terra Aventura.

The Fontaine Saint Martin, near the Sainte-Hélène Bridge on the north shore of the lake, was the parish’s main processional site until the beginning of the 20th century. Château du Chalard, in the Le Chalard district of Bujaleuf, dates back to the 14th century.

The Les Hauts de Bujaleuf circular trail is 11.9 kilometres long. The route can be used on foot and by mountain bike and runs along the lake and through the forest.
