Wool used to be washed at the Moulin des Champs. It was then transported in small carts across the still-visible footbridge to the spinning mill located on the opposite bank of the Vienne.
Walking trails
The long-distance GR 654 trail crosses Beynac over 4.6 km, from Place de l’Étoile de Leymarie to Les Grandes Pièces. The Bois-Charmant trail follows the Chemin de la Croix for 1 km to the town hall. Another trail, approximately 1 km long, leads from the Henri-IV Bridge to the Moulin des Champs.
