Folles: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Because of its pronounced relief, Lac du Pont-à -l’Âge has a winding shape; wooded slopes accentuate its course. The lake is also a designated and protected landscape area.
Planning a trip may include the desire to rent a holiday apartment in Folles.
Cycling and hiking
A 30-kilometre cycling route through the upper Gartempe Valley passes through Folles and by the Viaduc de Rocherolles. The Val de Gartempe hiking trail near Fursac also passes through Folles.
Nature
The Viaduc de Rocherolles towers over the Gartempe Valley and is located in a natural area designated as a Natura 2000 site and a ZNIEFF.
Culture
The Viaduc de Rocherolles has 12 arches on two levels, is 187 metres long and rises 54.60 metres above the river. The structure was built between 1852 and 1854 from blue granite.
The Dolmen des Goudours has a capstone weighing around 20 tonnes, resting on three pillars.
On site
The Dolmen des Goudours can be reached from the centre of Folles via the D63 towards Le Cluzeau. The driving distance is 5.4 kilometres; parking is available in the village, after which a 1-kilometre path leads on foot along the track.
In 2026, the Dolmen des Goudours will be open to the public year-round; guided tours are possible.
