Culture

The Église Saint-Michel in Jarnages is a church dating from the 12th century that was rebuilt at the end of the 14th century for defence against an attack. On its choir side, it has a defensive corner tower with three machicolations and trefoil arcades.

By decree of 12 November 1930, the Église Saint-Michel was classified as a historic monument. The church is open to the public and contains paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Near the church, the Fontaine des Saints-Innocents was carved from a solid granite block. The fountain “Fontaine de Saint Protais”, also known as “Puits”, is protected as a historic monument.
