Saint-Dizier-La-Tour: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Mottes castrales de l'an Mil site can be visited independently year-round with the help of information panels. From 1 July to 1 September, guided tours are offered there on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays by prior telephone reservation. The site preserves remains from the Gallo-Roman period as well as from the 10th and 12th centuries.

Culture and history

The Château de La Faye is a very old fortress dating from the 13th and 15th centuries, originally with four corner towers, one of which is missing. The Église de Saint-Dizier is a church with a Latin-cross ground plan, built in the second half of the 17th century; the eastern section and part of the nave have been preserved. Its west façade, the stone bell-tower base with a slate-covered spire, and the first two bays of the nave were rebuilt in 1880–1882. The two asymmetrical side chapels form the arms of the cross and have unusual brick openings at their gables, shaped like drops or tears.
