Culture and History
The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Glénic dates from the late 11th to early 12th century. The Croix et fontaine de Villelot is located on the Chemin des Ecoliers, which connects the centre of Glénic with Villelot. The Croix de Villelot was restored at the end of the 19th century. The masonry, square Fontaine de Villelot was the village’s only water source before 1939.
The Croix de Peyzat depicts Christ with raised arms on one side and the Virgin and Child on the reverse. The original Croix de Peyzat is said to date from the late 16th century and is said to have been restored in the 19th century.

Glénic'Grimpe is a climbing facility set up at the Viaduc de Glénic. It uses automatic belay devices for climbing and is open to people aged five and over.
The hiking trail Circuit de randonnée pédestre n° 5 – L’éperon de la vallée de la Creuse is an easy, 13.3 km nature route that starts in Glénic.
The mountain-biking loop Circuit 29 – Glénic starts at the departure car park in the centre of Glénic. The loop is easy, 11.4 km long and has 210 m of elevation gain.
At La Ruche de Glénic, blossom honey with a predominant proportion of chestnut and blackberry is offered in 1 kg, 500 g or 250 g jars.
