Sainte-Marie-Plage is located on the Mediterranean coastline of Sainte-Marie-la-Mer. Coast and Beaches
The central beach is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Plage Centrale Agora is supervised from 31 May to 21 September, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and until 6:30 p.m. in July and August. It has been awarded the Handiplage label; during the lifeguard station’s opening hours, a Tiralo is available on request from the lifeguards.
Plage du Camping is considered the wildest and best-preserved beach at the resort. Plage du 4ème Épi is located near Place L. Guibert.
Water Sports and Marina
The marina of Sainte-Marie-la-Mer has 500 berths and eight floating pontoons for boats measuring 4 to 12 metres in length.
LE SPOT is a beach club and sailing school offering various water sports and leisure activities. These include stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, sea kayaking, pedal boats and wing surfing or wing foiling; courses, supervision and training programmes are also offered.

Kitesurf School 66 offers kitesurfing lessons and training for beginners and advanced participants to develop their skills. Fishing 66 offers full- or half-day sea fishing trips for big game fish, sea bass, vertical fishing and cephalopods, as well as sea fishing courses and training.
Bateau Ecole offers various types of on-site training focused on safety, as well as training for and issuance of the coastal boat licence. As part of its training programme, it also offers the issuance of a jet ski licence.
Active Leisure Activities
The pump track is designed for bicycles, scooters, skateboards and roller skates and is open all year round. The street workout facilities are free of charge and open to both residents and visitors. They are equipped with six fitness machines, including an elliptical trainer, a cross-country skiing machine, and pulling and pushing equipment.
History and Culture
The history of Sainte-Marie-Plage as a seaside resort began when fishermen built huts on the beach for their equipment from 1890 onwards. A historical walking tour provides details along the seafront and in the village lanes with the help of a discovery and leisure guide and historical information panels.
A market takes place year-round on Saturday mornings at Parking Agora on the seafront. Catalan sardanas take place on Fridays and Sundays during the season.
The Église Notre Dame de l’Assomption has a Romanesque foundation. The central apse is the oldest part of the building and dates from the 13th century.
