The Église Sant Nazari preserves traces of a Romanesque church. Its bell tower has the appearance of a defensive tower and dates from the 13th century. The polychrome altarpiece in the Église Sant Nazari was completed in 1749.

History
The village was first mentioned in 899 as villa Tordarias. The tower of the Église Saint-Nazaire-et-Saint-Celse clearly corresponds to a defensive design.
The processional statue known as Sant Nazari was donated to the municipality and placed in the Église Sant Nazari. During its restoration, overpainting was removed; its hand and feather were reattached.

Tordères is partly covered by the type II ZNIEFF “Massif des Aspres” (No. 6614-0000). The Massif des Aspres ZNIEFF encompasses forests, maquis and garrigue landscapes. The Massif des Aspres ZNIEFF is home to 41 notable plant species, 16 bird species, 3 reptile species, 3 bat species, 13 insect species and 1 mollusc species.
The Massif des Aspres covers 50 % of the municipality of Tordères. The Forêt domaniale du Réart state forest covers 108 hectares in Tordères.
