Argeliers played a role in the defence of winegrowing and was the starting point of the winegrowers’ revolt of 1907. Those who choose Argeliers as a destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Culture
The Église Saint-Vincent d’Argeliers has been mentioned since the mid-12th century. After suffering severe damage during the Wars of Religion in the 17th century, it was largely rebuilt. The bell tower of the Église Saint-Vincent d’Argeliers was renovated in 2010.
La Calado is a typical passageway, originally paved, found in Occitan and Mediterranean regions. In the village, it connects Place François Mitterrand with Place des Cathares.
Nature
The Sentier des capitelles hiking trail allows visitors to see the capitelles, or dry-stone huts, and offers panoramic views over the region. The main trail on Le Pech is open to walkers and offers panoramic views over the Narbonnaise Plain.
Wine
The Fête de l’Enquant is a summer tradition held in August and deeply rooted in Argeliers, celebrating winegrowing and attracting very many visitors every year. As part of the Fête de l’Enquant, there is an auction where visitors can discover and purchase regional wines.
Routes
The Canal des 2 mers à vélo (V80) is a high-quality, 25-kilometre Voie Verte along the towpath of the Canal du Midi between Argens-Minervois and Argeliers, on the border with the Hérault département. The Canal des 2 mers à vélo (V80) reaches Argeliers at the canal bridge at kilometre 21.9. The restored towpath of the Canal du Midi on the section between Argens-Minervois and Argeliers can be used on foot and by bicycle.
