Activities
Winter sports are also represented in Camurac with different areas. The ski resort has 11 runs, ranging from green to black, and is served by 4 ski lifts. The Camurac mountain station has a beginners’ area with a conveyor belt. There is also a ski and snowboard school with a snow kindergarten.
Another outdoor activity is Corde Game, featuring games, balance challenges, crossings and cooperative elements; it is accessible from the age of 6. For cycling, the Montée Simon CARR climb is located at Col du Teil. It is 5.150 km long and has an average gradient of 7.7%.
For vehicles, Camurac is one of the municipalities where winter equipment is mandatory from 1 November to 31 March. This requires winter tyres or snow chains to be carried in the vehicle.
Culture
The processional banner of Saints Just et Pasteur dates from the 19th century, is protected as a movable cultural object and is associated with the church of Camurac.
Below it lies the Moulin du Pas, which also had a sawmill.
Nature
Every year in early spring, the roads around Lac de Camurac are crossed by migrating amphibians. These include frogs, toads and newts on their way to their breeding grounds.
