Hiking and Trails
The Le Circaète, Le Circulaire and Le Sanglier hiking trails each begin and end at a car park on the D43 in Montclar. Le Circaète leads to a waterfall and two viewpoints. Le Circulaire is a moderately difficult 7.2-kilometre circular hike that passes through undergrowth and offers views of the Razès. Le Sanglier is a difficult 9.9-kilometre circular hike offering views of vineyards, garrigue, hills and the Pyrenees.
Culture and History
Montclar is a village with a circular layout and is considered a “Circulade”. The church of Montclar is dedicated to Saint Julien and Saint Basilisse. It has an altar made of pink marble from Caunes and dates from the 12th and 14th centuries.
Botanical Discoveries
La Jungle Botanique Comestible is a botanical park dedicated to edible plants. The visitor trail includes visual, smell and taste puzzles. By appointment, the park offers guided tours lasting approximately one and a half hours.
