Culture

The Château du Mesnil was built in 1589 and is listed as a historic monument. It preserves the dovecote, turrets, moats, and part of the original main building. During the Journées du Patrimoine, it was opened to the public free of charge once a year.

The Skit du Saint-Esprit is a Russian Orthodox monastery complex in the Byzantine style and has been located in the Bois du Fay since 1934. Frescoes and icons associated with the icon painter Grégoire Krug can be seen there. Visits are organized; reservations are required.

The Church of Saint-Denis in Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis houses the protected painting “Martyre de saint Denis,” attributed to Gabriel-François Doyen and restored in 2014 and 2015. The work “Saint Jacques le Majeur, avec retable” is also located there.
