Culture

Since its founding in 2004, the Festival de musique franco-américaine de Thiais has celebrated the musical exchange between the United States of America and France.

The Maison du manufacturier Gilardoni was built in 1896 by architect Léon Bonnenfant for Xavier Gilardoni. It combines polychrome brick with architectural ceramic elements and is considered one of the last truly significant remnants of Choisy-le-Roi’s now-vanished brick and faience industry.

The Église Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles was partially destroyed during the English invasions and rebuilt in the 15th century. Its façade is said to date from the 16th century and features a Renaissance portal; inside, there is a painting of the Assumption of the Virgin.

The Fontaine-lavoir de Thiais was rebuilt by Claude Naissant in 1843 and restored in 1987–1988.

Those who have chosen Thiais as their travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment here.
