Culture and history

The choir of the Church of Saint-Étienne in Ocquerre preserves two 13th-century capitals. Reconstruction of the church was completed in 1901.

The Ferme dite aux trois cheminées is listed as a historic monument. During the reign of Henry IV, it was a Renaissance hunting meeting place and is one of the few well-preserved secular buildings from its period.

The chapel of the former Marnoue-les-Moines priory was dedicated to Saint Nicholas and cared for by three religious brothers.

The present-day building of the Château de la Trousse was constructed in 1865. Of the 17th-century Château de la Trousse, only the outbuildings and moats remain.

Landscape and trails

In the Pays d’Ourcq, the Canal de l’Ourcq offers walkers a particularly secluded and bucolic stretch. The Vallon de Chaton route is recognised by the Seine-et-Marne departmental hiking committee and marked in yellow.
