Lésigny: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Château de Lésigny was built during the Renaissance on the site of a medieval fortress surrounded by moats. The Forêt Notre-Dame, a 2,200-hectare state forest, borders Lésigny.

Culture

The Église Saint-Yon is part of the history of the town. It has 16th-century door leaves and was consecrated in 1523 by François de Poncher, the son of Louis de Poncher and Bishop of Paris. The church also has an octagonal bell tower with a spire.

The Château de Lésigny is no longer inhabited and serves as a reception venue and filming location for film and television productions. It is regularly opened to visitors as part of the Heritage Days.

Nature

The undergrowth of the Forêt Notre-Dame is home to around twenty recorded ponds. The protection of the Forêt Notre-Dame was further strengthened through its acquisition by the state and a recent designation.

Activities

A section of the GR 14 crosses the Forêt Notre-Dame near Lésigny. There are fishing ponds along the Ru du Réveillon. La marche de Gaïa is a narrated walk that combines walking, scientific knowledge, sensitive exchange and a poetic approach to observation.

Golf

The Golf du Réveillon covers 100 hectares and comprises three different golf courses. The Golf du Réveillon includes an 18-hole course, a 9-hole course, a compact 9-hole course and a practice facility.

The RN 104 (La Francilienne) provides road access to Lésigny.
