Longperrier: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Longperrier can be discovered through its buildings, paths and local history. I would like to rent a holiday apartment for my stay in Longperrier.
Culture and History
The Église Sainte-Madeleine in Longperrier was founded around 1185 by the Counts of Dammartin-en-Goële. It has a square bell tower, a polygonal apse and a three-sided chancel ending with a large axial window. The church also contains a stone tabernacle dating from the 15th century.
The François-Noblat monument commemorates the shooting of the mayor in 1870 and was erected at the scene on 21 September 1890. At 2 Rue de Maincourt, there are three 17th-century pillars that supported two adjacent gates of the farm estate of Chaalis Abbey. The historic farm estate of Chaalis Abbey on the same street includes the 19th-century town hall and the agricultural buildings arranged around a courtyard, which have been renovated and converted into rental apartments.
The 19th-century Calvaire de Longperrier stands at a crossroads where five paths meet; it may have served as a processional station during processions. In the former town hall and school building on Rue du Vivier, the school was located on the ground floor and the town hall on the upper floor. The fountain on Rue du Hamel was the centre of the hamlet of La Russie in Longperrier for decades.
The Salon du Livre de Longperrier is organised by Le Livr’echange. The 8th edition, announced for 27 September 2026, includes book signings with 25 authors as well as writing workshops for children and adults.
Paths and Landscape
The Chemin du Gazon connects the two ends of the village and passes through an area that formerly contained orchards. The Foulées Vertes Longperroises follows agricultural paths in the area around the municipality of Longperrier and is considered an annual event.
From 28 August 2023, two evening departures of TàD Goële were offered from Dammartin-Juilly-Saint-Mard station from Monday to Friday, at 8:52 p.m. and 9:49 p.m., reaching Longperrier.
