Culture

The Église Saint-Sévère is an 11th-century church. Its transept, part of the nave and the choir are protected as historic monuments. Its features include an organ in the style of German Romanticism, built and installed in 2012 by Yves Fossaert.

The Mairie-Musée was established in 1906 on the initiative of Charles Moreau-Vauthier and houses nearly 500 works of art. Most of the works are signed by artists who lived in the village.

The Atelier Delort is an art space for drawing, painting, sculpture and film, including the possibility of making short films. It was originally built as a studio by the painter Charles Delort.

The Château de Bourron is also part of the area’s history: in October 1725, it was selected to accommodate Stanislas Leczinski, the deposed King of Poland.

The hiking trails associated with Bourron-Marlotte pass through varied, highly undulating terrain. The Mare aux Fées is a viewpoint. In Bourron-Marlotte, it is possible to explore the area’s cultural heritage and historic monuments on foot or by bicycle.
